Water treatment intensification using a monophasic hybrid process coupling nanofiltration and ozone/hydrogen peroxide advanced oxidation

• A hybrid process coupling nanofiltration and ozonation was assessed. pre-ozonated solution mixed to the water treat doped with H 2 O . Two pharmaceuticals were efficiently removed in both retentate permeate. Membrane fouling decreased by a factor two using river sample. Organic membranes not degraded oxidants water. This study assesses feasibility of designing / membrane that can simultaneously oxidize reject contaminants while exhibiting reduced fouling.
